Pricing & Quotes
How we price a job and what you approve first.
How much does junk removal cost in Louisville?
By volume: the space your items take up in the truck. It is measured on site before anything is carried out, and the pricing page lists the exact figures.
How is the price determined?
By volume, against a truck 6 feet wide, 8 feet tall, and 18 feet long. Not by the hour or the item.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. The exact figure is on our pricing page.
Do prices include labor and disposal?
Yes. Labor, loading, hauling, and disposal are all in the number. No fuel fee, no stairs fee.
Is anything ever charged on top?
Only heavy material such as concrete, brick, and roofing shingles. We tell you the number before we load.
Will the price change after you arrive?
Only if the pile does. Any addition gets a new number for you to approve first.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We look and hand you a firm price. Turn it down and we drive off with no charge.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes: 10% for seniors and 10% for veterans. Tell us when you call.
How do I claim my senior or veteran discount?
Mention it when you book and bring ID when the crew arrives. It comes off the price quoted on site.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit and debit cards. Payment is collected after the job is complete and you have approved the work.
Do you accept business checks or Cash App?
Yes: cash, credit card, debit card, business checks, and Cash App. (We do not accept Venmo.)

Do I need to be home during the pickup?

What We Take

What does Haulaway Junk Removal take?
Furniture, appliances, mattresses, hot tubs, electronics, construction debris, yard waste, garage contents, estate cleanout items, and light demolition including shed and deck teardowns.
Do you take single items, or only full-load jobs?
Both. Everything from a single hot tub or piano to full property estate clearing.
What kinds of appliances do you remove?
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ovens, microwaves, water heaters, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and more.
Do you take broken appliances?
Yes. Metal is recycled where possible.
Do you remove broken electronics too?
Yes. Broken TVs, computers, and monitors, all of it.
What We Can't Take
The short list of exclusions.
What can't you take?
Loose household hazardous waste is the main exclusion: paint, propane tanks, motor oil, chemicals and similar items. Drain the fuel from any gas-powered equipment before the crew arrives.
What about paint, propane, and chemicals?
Those we cannot take. Paint cans, propane tanks, motor oil, pesticides, and pool chemicals have to go through household hazardous waste.
Do you handle refrigerants and hazardous materials safely?
Yes. Refrigerants, coolants and oils inside appliances are disposed of according to EPA and state environmental regulations.
Do you handle asbestos drywall or plaster?
No. Suspected asbestos has to be removed by a licensed abatement contractor before we start. Once cleared, we take the rest of the demo debris.
What about computer data and privacy?
Hard drives and sensitive electronics should have data wiped before removal. We don't handle data destruction.
On the Day
What the crew does when they arrive, and what you need to do first.
Does the crew come inside my home or do I move things to the curb?
The crew comes inside and moves everything out for you. We navigate hallways, stairs, and tight spaces, and use pads to protect floors and doorways.
Do I need to move everything to the curb first?
No. The crew carries it out.
Do I have to sort everything before you come?
No. You point at what stays, and it goes back in before we leave.
What if I want to keep some items?
Point out what you want to keep and we'll load out everything else.
Can you handle stairs and tight basement access?
Yes. We navigate stairs, doorways, and tight spaces safely. Mention any unique access challenges on the call.
Will you damage my walls or trim?
Not if we can help it. Banisters, casings, and plaster get padded before the first piece moves.
How long does it take to clear a full house?
Most houses take one full day, and very large or heavily packed homes might take longer. We confirm timing when we quote.
Where It Goes
Donation, recycling, and what actually happens to your load.
Do items get donated or recycled, or do they go to the landfill?
Usable items are donated where possible. The rest goes to the landfill. We don't haul to a specific named facility; the load determines the destination based on condition and material type.
What happens to the stuff you haul away?
Other materials are recycled where possible or disposed of responsibly. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes as facility acceptance varies.
What happens to the metal after you pick it up?
Metal is recycled where possible, both ferrous and non-ferrous.
